Hello, hello!
We have been absolutely flat-out this past week recording music for our new record! We're bleary-eyed and over-coffee'd but it's shaping up though! We're looking at ten songs, mostly traditional (including a few crowd favourites from the UK, the Canadian east coast and the prairies) but there's some original material on there too. We've got an original song called "Rove and Go" and an instrumental whose working title is "Catharsis" (based on an old traditional fiddle tune that our boy Matt brought to the table). The album will be out before the end of summer but you'll get a chance to pre-order it very soon. Don't worry, we'll keep you updated!
As we planned to do a lot of studio time this month, we thinned out the gig schedule a bit, but the band will be in Fort McMurray at Paddy McSwiggins on April 24th and 25th, so be sure to check us out if you're up there!
We've recently lined up a number of dates for July and August, including festivals in Alberta and a number of shows in Newfoundland! Keep an eye on the calendar as we fill it up with dates throughout the summer.
We can't wait to get out and play this music live for you at shows this summer, but for now, no rest for the wicked; back into the studio. Stay tuned folks!
